The boiler is a tool that functions to produce steam. In boiler operation, of course, there are regular repairs and maintenance to maximize the boiler to work optimally. The role of the boiler in the wood drying process cannot be ignored, because the role of the boiler is so important for the smoothness of the wood drying process. Observations made at CV. PUTRA TAMA JAYA, for approximately three months. Sources of data obtained are data obtained directly from the research site by observation and direct interviews with the head of the mechanic. The results obtained from this study indicate that the performance of the boiler is not optimal well will affect the wood drying process. The problem that is the focus of discussion on boilers is about the causes of the decrease in steam pressure in the boiler. From this discussion, the cause of the decrease in steam pressure in the boiler is caused by several disturbing factors, such as leaks and clogged pipes and a lack of fuel supply which plays an important role in the steam production process. This causes the boiler in producing pressurized steam to decrease. The result of this disturbance can affect the wood drying process.
